Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Jin Studio ("we", "us") handles information when you use the Collocation Dictionary & Quiz app for Android (the "App"), published on Google Play by Jin Studio. By using the App you agree to this policy.
1. Summary
- No account or sign-up is required. We do not ask for your name, email or phone number in the App.
- Your favorites, notes, search history, quiz results, review schedule, streaks and badges are stored only on your device.
- We use Google services (AdMob, Firebase, Google Play Billing) that collect some device and usage data, described below.
- We do not sell your personal information.
2. Information stored only on your device
The dictionary works offline. The following data is created by you and kept in the App's private storage on your device; we do not receive it:
- Favorite words, personal notes, search and look-up history
- Quiz scores, Smart Review schedule, daily streaks and badges
- App settings (theme, reminder time, downloaded audio pack)
This data may be included in Android's automatic device backup to your own Google account, if you have enabled backup on your device. If you use Back up notes, the App writes a file only to the location you choose. Uninstalling the App deletes all of this data from the device.

Please do not enter sensitive personal information in the AI chat.

4. Permissions
- Notifications: to send the daily "Collocation of the Day" and review reminders. You can turn these off in the App's Settings or in Android settings.
- Internet / network state: to load ads, audio, podcasts and configuration.
- Foreground service (media playback): to keep podcast audio playing in the background.
- Vibration: for haptic feedback in quizzes.
- Alarms: to schedule reminders.
Voice search uses your device's built-in speech recognition service. The App does not record or store audio.
5. Advertising choices
Free users see ads served by Google AdMob. You can reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your device's Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads). Premium subscribers do not see ads. Where required (for example in the EEA, UK and Switzerland) we ask for your consent before personalized ads are shown.
6. Data retention and deletion
- On-device data is kept until you delete it in the App or uninstall the App.
- AI chat history is kept on our server so you can see previous conversations. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
- Analytics and advertising data are retained by Google according to its policies.
To request access to or deletion of data we hold, email [email protected] with the subject "Collocation Dictionary & Quiz – data request". We will respond within 30 days.
7. Security
Data sent between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
8. Children's privacy
The App is intended for general audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, and to object to processing. Contact us using the email below to exercise these rights.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
